Learn to create spreadsheets for cost tracking, calculating production rates and creating estimates. We will show you how to create spreadsheets that can be used by co-workers and that are robust and secure.
Is running or analyzing a business or individual jobs important for you? We will demonstrate tools to help you better calculate your business metrics, plan budgets and examine business scenarios all through the use of Microsoft Excel. This advanced level course will give you a better comprehension of how to analyze data to create what-if scenarios (what if conditions change, how will these affect the cost of the job).
Format: Six (6) hours of live online instructor-led instruction over 2 days.
The course is designed for anyone in the construction industry who works with numerical data. Microsoft Excel is an essential tool to learn for anyone tracking data.
This course is delivered in partnership between your local construction association and other associations throughout Western Canada. You’ll be participating in a cohort with industry peers from across these regions.

Products/ventures have included risk management software for construction, business intelligence software, thin client data systems and distributed workforce software.
Greg Leroux has been a leading financial strategist, consultant and instructor to the construction industry since 2008, Greg Leroux has become an authority on getting construction firms to maximize their productivity through the use of information technology. Greg is not only an expert with standard construction software, but has been a key developer of the Risk Managment application - RiskMP. Greg has worked closely with construction companies throughout Canada, lending his practical, results-driven approach to ensure success.
This course has been accredited by the Canadian Construction Association (CCA) for 2 credits towards Gold Seal certification for attendance.
This course has been approved by Architectural Institute of British Columbia (AIBC) for six (6) non-core units towards AIBC’s Continuing Education System

Cancellation & Substitution Policy: Payment is non-refundable for cancellations made within 7 business days of the course, or non-attendance on the day. Transfer to another date is not accepted. Complimentary substitution of another member of your company is accepted.
If VRCA has to postpone or cancel courses due to insufficient enrolment, VRCA will refund the registration fee or, if possible, the attendee may choose to move to an identical session in the future.
